2nd Grade Music Newsletter from Lisa - 11/27

Dear Second Grade Parents,

Greetings from the Music Room!

My name is Lisa Adams and I am teaching your child's music class while Peter Musselman is on paternity leave. I really appreciate the extra effort that the second grade classes showed during our first week together - they were respectful, responsible, and hardworking!

This week in second grade music, we've focused on sixteenth note rhythms. We played a game called Hotspot where students read and perform sixteenth notes. We sang sixteenth notes with two song-games - an American song-game called "Tideo" and an English song about pudding called "Charlie Wag." Ask your child to teach you some of these activities this week!

Please contact me with any questions or concerns at my e-mail: ladams@intlschool.org

Thank you for welcoming me into your school community!
