Fall is a beautiful time of the year and the Kindergarten music class is in full celebration. We have been incorporating lots of singing with fall themed books and songs. The children really seemed to enjoy the books There Was An Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Leaves and If You're A Monster and You Know It. We have had a good time singing about spiders, an old woman who was all skin and bones and a doggie who lost his bone.

In addition to singing, we have been practicing our mallet skills while chanting rhythmic poems about pumpkins and nuts, as well as exploring other instruments. Music class involves a lot of movement and the children love exploring high, middle and low spaces with colorful scarves. There is a great activity where we sing while pretending to be leaves floating through the air. Once again, it is an honor and so much fun to work with these talented little musicians!
