May 22, 2015: Library

First graders are now genre experts.  We have explored mysteries, folk literature, poetry, fantasy, science fiction, biographies, autobiographies, historical fiction and informational texts.  Some classes created "fact" posters using informational books and some classes created mystery cubes for tackling mysteries.

The TIS annual Scholastic book fair will be held the first week in June outside Stearn's Hall.  This is a good time to get books for summer reading!
Students will receive information about the summer reading challenge during library classes next week.  You may also get information on the library's website or at the book fair.  Stop by and see us!

Please make sure your child returns all his or her library books at the end of this month, May.  Invoices for books lost or damaged during the school year will be sent home in early June.

Thank you all for a wonderful year and have a fun summer!  Keep reading together!
