October 17, 2014: PE

We are nearly finished with our unit on locomotor movement where we explored how we can use different parts of our bodies together to move in many different ways. Around a half-circle, we ran, we did gallops while switching our lead foot, and we shared ideas for how to move that we then all tried out as a group. We practiced hops and jumps on our obstacle courses and worked on changing the kinds of hops and jumps we do over different obstacles. We are also learning how to move together as a group and take care of each other. We are sharing ideas and gaining confidence as we create new ways to move. Next, we will explore manipulative movement and the role force plays in how we move objects with our bodies.
