October 10, 2014: Library

TIS is excited to offer a four-language library on the EC Campus this year!  Tomoyo Wells and Carrie Johnston staff the EC Library in the mornings Monday-Friday. Your child will be visiting the library weekly to hear stories, browse books and select books for classroom use.  Parents may visit the library between 8:00-8:30 am M-F to borrow books to take home. There is no self-check out for parents so please come before 8:30 am.  You may keep the books for two weeks.  Please return the books to the yellow chest outside the library.

Two important events are coming up for PreK/LowK students:

Growing Readers Challenge: Oct 17-Nov 3
This is a 14-day family reading event sponsored by the TIS Library.  Look for more information to come home with your child next week!

EC Scholastic Book Fair: Oct 21-24

Purchase books on campus to support the new library and EC classrooms! The school receives 50% of the sales back and are used to purchase books and other resources. You will receive a free TIS Library Book bag with purchases over $25. These purchases will automatically enter you into a drawing for a Scholastic prize valued at $100. In addition, the Scholastic Reading Club is accessible online at any time. Purchased items are delivered to the school and can be picked up from Meredith in reception. To order online, click here.

We are available to answer questions or to help you and your child find great books!
