Rooms for the World: A Capital Campaign for Classrooms Space

In November 2004, The International School launched Rooms for the World: A Capital Campaign for Classroom Space. The campaign attracted over 400 donors who feel that children must have international education to thrive in and contribute to our communities, neighborhoods and businesses.

With contributions from individuals, businesses, and charitable foundations, the campaign raised $815,000 by the spring of 2007.

The funds were used to buy a property and build a new classroom building to supplement the school’s existing space. The new building, Stearns Hall, houses 11 classrooms including a music room and specially-designed art classroom.

The school expanded into Stearns Hall in March 2007, and the building was dedicated on June 1, 2007.
