The library media center has added many new books to its collection this year. It is exciting to build the school’s first library and to witness the positive academic progress and recreational benefits to the students as the library program grows.
Parents are invited to visit the library to browse the four-language collection. In addition to picture books, early readers, novels, reference materials and more, there are audiovisual materials available in all languages to enhance the language acquisition process. December
is the time to check out the library’s collection of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa books
on display now.
While students are limited in the number of books they may check out during library classes, parents may check out more. Winter break may be a good time to borrow extra materials for your family.
The library is open for checking out materials Monday through Thursday. Hours are also posted on the library webpage and in the library.
Tues. 9:00-3:45 (except for lunchtime 12:30-1)
Thurs. 9:00-3:45 (except for lunchtime 12:30-1)
It is very important that materials are checked out through the circulation system by the librarian before they are taken home. Unfortunately, many books are disappearing
from the library weekly as patrons take them home without checking them out or returning them. If the librarian is not there when you need a book, please return during open hours or
leave the item on the circulation desk with a note and the item will be checked out to you and held on a Reserve Shelf for you to pick up at your convenience.Beginning in January, parent volunteer Margaret McConnell will staff the circulation desk on Friday afternoons. Check back in January for the expanded hours. Thank you for supporting the library!
