Introducing TrackTales in the Library Media Center

The library media center cordially invites students to TrackTales, storytimes in the target languages, beginning on IB Information Night, February 12.  Both student and adult volunteers will read to groups of students from picture books chosen to reflect qualities associated with specific IB PYP Attitudes.  As part of the IB Primary Years Programme, PYP students are encouraged to display the following attitudes:

Appreciation
Commitment
Confidence
Cooperation
Creativity
Curiosity
Empathy
Enthusiasm
Independence
Integrity
Respect
Tolerance

On February 12, the stories will focus on Curiosity. Parents who would like their students to participate must pre-register by emailing TrackTales coordinator Kim Braun at kim_braun@yahoo.com.  Please let her know your child’s name, age and track. Students should be dropped off and picked up from childcare as usual.  Registered students will be collected at 6:40 pm and escorted to the LMC and returned to childcare after storytime at about 7:20 pm.

Parents, fifth graders and TIS graduates fluent in any of the target languages and interested in reading during TrackTales, please contact Kim Braun or Tamara.
