Parent Volunteers Needed for Walk/Bike to School Month

This statewide event is a friendly competition that encourages students to walk and bike to school for the whole month of May. In 2009, 60 schools and over 4,000 individuals participated in the event - including The International School.

Why participate?  This is a great excuse to learn walk & bike routes now for the good weather.   Additionally, by showing up to one of the 3 designated spots, you can be the one to open the door for your kids to get out of the car and get active. The program also builds school community, promotes self-esteem, and is a great way to start the day before entering the classroom or workplace.
