"Walk, Bike or Public Transport to School Challenge" May 1st -31st

Many of us have been concerned about our family's fossil fuel consumption. Or the air quality around our school. Or the oil spill off the Gulf Coast. If those issues concern you too, please join the Green Committee in our efforts to walk, bike or take public transport to school more often during the month of May.

Check with your teacher to get a scorecard for your child - and then help them keep track of the number of days this month when they walk, bike, or take the train/bus to school. Prizes will be given to kids who participate at the end of the month. Please return completed scorecards to your teacher and we will collect them.

If you'd like to walk or bike with others - here are some meeting places:

Bikers:
North: Salmon Street Fountain (SW Salmon & Naito). Departing daily at 7:55 am.
South: Willamette Park - main parking lot just south of the main entrance on SW Nebraska and Macadam. Departing daily at 7:45 am.

Walkers: Meet at Salmon Street Fountain (SW Salmon & Naito Pkwy). Departing daily at 7:55 am.

Taking public transit? Use TriMet's "Plan Your Ride" to find the best route: http://trimet.org/.
