TIS 2012 Auction Special Appeal- "One Size Does NOT Fit All"

At TIS, our teachers know that every child is unique.  They know the importance of creating a classroom where the academic as well as social and emotional needs of every child are met. Our small classes ensure that each child receives the attention she deserves. But what a difference it would make for our teachers to have more resources to help each child excel with her individual learning style and at her level - whether it's a little ahead or a little behind.

The 2012 auction special appeal will fund technology and tools to support individual child development, allowing teachers to better tailor instruction and assessment to match each student's needs.  On November 17th, raise your paddle to support the 'One Size Does Not Fit All' special appeal.

This year's appeal for individualized learning includes:

  • $45,000 for new laptop computers for student use
  • $20,000 for early childhood classroom essentials
  • $20,000 for teacher professional development

If we surpass our goal of $85,000, the additional funds will be used towards more faculty professional development opportunities.

Click here to read more about this year's special appeal  and how each of the areas above will benefit our teachers and students by providing opportunities for individualized learning.

If you don't plan to attend the auction on November 17th, but still wish to support this appeal, click this "donate now" button. Choose "special appeal" in the Program Designation field. Thank you for your support! What a difference your contribution will make to all 485 unique learners at TIS!
