I am so excited to be working among such a diverse group of educators at TIS. I recently moved to Portland from Philadelphia, PA to pursue a doctorate degree in educational leadership with a focus on global education. I am excited to bridge my studies with practical application at TIS and become involved with a multi-lingual, diverse educational setting.
During my time in Philadelphia, I completed my undergraduate and graduate degrees while teaching elementary school. As an elementary school teacher, I focused on implementing technology to guide learning and differentiated instruction to reach all learners. I also created and led staff professional development workshops focusing on technology integration and educational programs to support teaching and learning. Prior to my experience in the classroom, I taught computer science courses at Temple University.
I have a passion for education and learning through the incorporation of technology. I believe that in order for our country to compete in a universal economic world, our modern curriculum must consist of essential components such as global awareness, multi-lingualism, and a focus on right brain education through the incorporation of technology. I am excited to become a part of TIS where these essential components are part of the everyday teaching and learning.
