Playground Essential Agreements

One of the wonderful things about TIS is the number of families who spend time after school on our playground. This provides another rich opportunity for students to interact with other grades & language tracks. During these after school hours, we count on all community members to keep our students safe by enforcing our essential agreements for the playground. Please spend some time as a family discussing these essential agreements: be fluent, be safe, be respectful, be responsible, belong. Each one of these is specifically explained and expanded in our Parent Handbook; our teachers review them in class as well.

The best way to keep students safe is by being proactive. If you are bringing your children to our playground, please actively supervise their play. At TIS, we want everyone to feel welcome, accepted, and safe. Reviewing our essential agreements with your children and being present and active during after school playground time is an important way to help!
