A teacher transition

Several weeks ago, a teacher related to me a long-standing dream of taking on a different type of teaching position. She had followed that dream with limited success over the years, but now everything was lining up and she was applying for an opening at another school. This teacher is Pilar Arias, currently one of our second grade Spanish teachers.  Pilar has been a contributing member of the TIS staff for fifteen years and she will be missed as she moves on to her new position at Catlin Gabel.  It is too early to say thank you as we still have the remainder of the school year before she begins the next phase of her career.  But we can certainly celebrate with her in achieving her dream.

We will be starting the search right away for an experienced Spanish teacher to start at TIS in the fall.
