"In the Know" Weekly Newsletter - The International School

What happens with parent survey results?

Thank you again to the parents of 407 students who completed the parent survey in February! It has been amazing to read all the comments and see the results. Particularly interesting were the 160 comments explaining how parents are supporting TIS & our mission. What a difference we are all making in for the kids! Please take a moment to read some of the responses now posted around campus, or click here for an even greater selection.

Here's what else is happening with the survey results:

  • All teachers & their supervisors will receive individual reports of all ratings & comments that pertain to their class. If they want to discuss a concern with a parent, I look up to see whether the comment's author signed the survey.
  • Admin staff members will receive a report with all the data & a summary of comments for the school environment and interaction sections.  If they want to discuss a concern with a parent, I look up to see whether the comment's author signed the survey.
  • For specific concerns or suggestions that we can address at this time, a staff member will follow up with that parent (if they signed their survey).
  • The whole community will receive a report with the overall results. This report will show aggregate data (will not in any way identify teachers, staff, parents or children). I hope to publish the report by the end of April.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
