Shinnenkai 2015: A New Year Celebration

To ring in 2015, From Portland With Love, the local non-profit group, will be hosting the Shinnenkai New Year Celebration event in collaboration with JASO, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting business, education and cultural exchange between Japan and US.

Among the Japanese and Japanese American communities, the Shinnenkai and Mochitsuki events in January are the two main Japanese New Year events in Portland. The Shinnenkai is the “people event” to celebrate with old friends and to meet new friends.
