Share your Spring Break with an African Youth Leader

The World Affairs Council is seeking host families from March 20-28

This spring the World Affairs Council of Oregon is hosting the Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program and is looking for host families from March 20-28.  The program will bring 17 high school students and 2 adult mentors from Angola, Malawi, Mauritius, Nigeria, and Zambia to Oregon.  The student participants are 15-18 years old, English speaking, and have been selected by the U.S. Embassies in their home countries.
 
The Pan-Africa Youth Leadership Program  is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and aimsto build a network of young leaders from different ethnic, religious, and national groups willing to promote mutual understanding and community service.  Host families provide a supportive family environment, as well as a bed, breakfast and dinner, and assistance with transportation to and from the Council’s downtown office for the 9:00am-5:00pm program activities.
