TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK
Teacher Appreciation Week is approaching and volunteers are needed to join in the planning phase. This year, it is: happening May 18th-22nd. Please contact us if you are available to help celebrate the wonderful teachers at TIS.
STUDENT TALENT SHOW
TIS is brimming with talent! TIS students perform at one of two separate shows on Friday, June 5. We need parent volunteers to help screen performers, set up the program, make posters, and be stage hands.
ENGLISH DEPARTMENT HELP
- The English Department needs a volunteer to make assessment copies for next year (probably 2-3 hours of copying, collating, stapling, etc)
- 4th grade English teachers will be needing parent volunteers to help out with our mythology projects. We need people during the last two weeks of May Parents with technological, artistic, or marketing knowledge are especially needed. Students will be creating scripts and making commercials using iMovie. You do not have to be a parent of a 4th grader to help out.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
The Main Campus Scholastic Book Fair will be outside Stearns Hall June 1 – 5! Please sign up to help: we need volunteers every day that week, 2 volunteers per shift: 7:35 to 8:45am and 2:15 to 4pm
The TIS garden is a fantastic learning resource on our campus. During the summer we continue to plant, harvest, and learn in the garden. But to do so, we need volunteers! We are looking for volunteers (at least 18 years old) to lead garden classes during Summer Camp (3 sessions between June 22 and July 31). Only available for 1 or 2 weeks? No problem! Just let us know when you are available. Volunteers lead 30-40 minute garden activities with camp groups (age PreK - 5th). Assistance with planning, supplies and camper supervision is provided!
