As you know, construction on our new 4th and 5th grade building is well underway. The landscape of our campus is quickly changing as we see the exciting progress on the building with each passing week. This week, we will start to see things really take shape as the steel skeleton of the building is put into place. With this development, we'll start to see the formation of the classrooms that will next year house our fourth and fifth grade students.
We are happy to share that in spite of an unusually rainy winter and the associated challenges of working in such weather, the project is still on schedule to open in August 2016. Our contractor feels confident that we will meet that deadline. The project also continues to be on budget. And, as previously shared, thanks to the many folks who stepped forward to help us reach our $3 million fundraising goal, we have the funds needed to outfit all of our new classrooms with the cubbies, cupboards, and classroom sinks that our teachers requested.
We can not take enough opportunities to say THANK YOU TIS COMMUNITY! Look at what you have made possible this year - our very first new classroom building designed specifically for our students and our teachers! We look forward to keeping you updated on the construction progress.
