Reading is a great way for students to encounter and experiment with new ideas and information. This year, our reading challenge theme was about Oregon. Students read books related to Oregon including Beavers, Ducks, Oregon Trails and Pacific NW forests.
Over 100 students in grades K-5 participated in the Reading Challenge and some students created an amazing gallery of art projects. I would like to thank all the parents who supported these dedicated readers to complete the challenge and create such thoughtful artistic responses to their reading. We celebrated our great readers with certificates, rewards and games! Students also voted for their favorite Reading Challenge book. The winner for 3-5th grade book is Ranger in Time Rescue on the Oregon Trail! Falcons in the City and Just Ducks are most popular for K-2nd grade books.
Art projects are on display in the main campus library. If you were unable to stop by the library to see the art in person, see the album from the link below.
