Welcome back TIS 5th graders!

Welcome back TIS 5th graders and families! Our 5th graders recently returned from one of the most exciting and enriching experiences TIS has to offer - Capstone Study Abroad. Our students were wonderful ambassadors of TIS, and we could not be more proud of their accomplishments during this year's Capstone. They truly personified the IB Learner Profile traits of principled, courageous, caring, open-minded, and reflective.

Throughout the two-week program, the 5th graders utilized their language skills, lived with host families, explored cultural and historic sites, and celebrated their years at TIS with their classmates.  You can read about their journeys on the Capstone blogs (China, Japan, or Mexico). Capstone is truly the culmination of the students' language and culture learning at TIS. Thank you to the entire TIS Faculty for preparing our students for success over the years. And a huge thank you to our 5th grade teachers - Taka, Christy, Mercy and Constanza - who guided the students through their study abroad experience.
