Thank you to all of the generous parents, grandparents, staff members, and even students who made a contribution to The International School this year! Your gifts - no matter the size - make wonderful things possible for our students and teachers.
Here's how your dollars will be put to use this year:
New Building Campaign:
Raised - $3,040,000 ($518,339 in new gifts and pledges this fiscal year)
Makes Possible - A brand new, ten-classroom building for our 4th and 5th grade students! We are on track to welcome the first classes into the new building this fall. This HUGE project simply would not have been possible without the support of you, our generous community - THANK YOU!
Auction & Special Appeal:
Raised - $243,250 ($80,000 allocated for Special Appeal)
Makes Possible - Auction purchases (outside of special appeal contributions) fund everything from financial aid to teacher salaries by supporting the school's operating budget. Special Appeal dollars will provide furniture that will allow our students and teachers to maximize the shared activity areas in the new building; a screen and short-throw projectors in each new classroom; and science carts and equipment for our 4th and 5th grade students.
Run for the Arts:
Raised - $25,420
Makes Possible - EVERYTHING in the art and music departments - from tempura paint to tambourines! RFA funds also allow our art and music teachers to have specialized professional development opportunities in their fields and participate in professional networks of other art and music educators to swap ideas and share strategies.
Raised - $19,822 (and counting!!)
Makes Possible - Teacher Professional Development opportunities: giving our teachers access to workshops, conferences and trainings. This allows them the opportunity to bring exciting new ideas, research and inspiration back into their classrooms for the benefit of their students. You can still contribute to the Annual Fund to help reach our $50,000 goal! Donate now at http://www.intlschool.org/annual-giving/
Thank you for making all of this possible! Stay tuned for our philanthropy summary mailed at the end of the year with more information. If you have any questions about philanthropy at The International School, please don't hesitate to contact the TIS Development Staff:
