TOMORROW! Join the Bike Brigades for National Bike to School Day!

This Wednesday, May 4, is National Bike to School Day! It's part of our month-long Walk & Bike to School effort. We have two meeting spots to join up and form bike brigades to school.

1)  Salmon Street Springs fountain area (Naito Parkway) to form a massive, unstoppable bike brigade to the Main Campus. Get there at 7:40, OK?

2) Are you coming from the Southwest, or heading to the EC Campus? Meet D'Arcy Owen at Elizabeth Caruthers Park by 7:40. D'Arcy will send off a group to the Main Campus and lead a crew to the Early Childhood Building.

It's not too late to participate in Walk + Bike to School month! Pick up a scorecard at any front desk (Hilltop, Stearns, EC) and fill out the number of trips you make May 1-31. At the end of the month, we’ll be handing out prizes, including a sweet new kid-sized bike helmet. Everyone who participates gets swag! If you also walk or bike home after school, please indicate that on your scorecard. You get double points for doing the round-trip.

TIS Parent Coordinator Chris Ginocchio is personally throw in some beer, and TIS parent Katherine Cole is donating a bottle of Oregon pinot noir to the family that makes the most commutes in May. Pick up those scorecards and pump up your tires, folks.

We look forward to seeing you May 4, if not before, on your bike. Feel free to e-mail Chris with any questions at cjginocchio@hotmail.com.
