These are the voices of our Japanese fifth graders who left for their Capstone trip last Friday. They will be in Japan until May 23rd.
This week the students are attending Nojiriko Elementary School in Shinano-machi, Nagano. The school has 70 students total, and thirteen of them are in 5th grade. At the same time, they will be staying with different Japanese host families.
Next week, the children will visit famous temples, shrines and places in the Kyoto and Nara area.
During the last three weeks before their departure the students made a TIS & Portland introduction DVD, and prepared a Japan guide book for their trip. Yukako Sensei said ” I am sure that when we comeback we will have excellent experiences to share with all the school”.
