“We love the supportive community and the emphasis on global thinking. My son truly enjoys going to school, and it’s wonderful to see his confidence and curiosity grow each day."

The International School of Portland (ISP) community is a warm, close-knit network of families, faculty, and staff united by a shared commitment to global citizenship and cultural exchange. Located in an urban oasis just south of downtown Portland, the campus fosters an environment where diverse backgrounds are not just welcomed but actively celebrated.

At the heart of the ISP experience is a culture of inclusivity and support. Families from across the metro area come together to share their unique heritage and traditions, enriching the daily lives of students and deepening the school’s inquiry-based learning environment. Through the active Parent Network, families can easily connect and contribute, whether by volunteering for the "Green Team," serving as room parents, or participating in cultural festivals and school-wide events.

The community is grounded in meaningful relationships. Small class sizes allow teachers to truly know each child, while we work to actively to ensure a warm and respectful space for everyone. From the playground to the Parent Network meetings, ISP offers a collaborative and caring atmosphere where every member is encouraged to take action, get involved, and help shape the next generation of multilingual global citizens.
