Welcome to Moving for Music and Art (MMA)!
We are excited for a joyful day of movement this year! Students will be able to run or jump rope for their allotted time. This year, MMA will take place on Wednesday, May 20 and Thursday, May 21. At International School of Portland, we are proud to offer comprehensive art, music, and PE programs to all students. Last year we decided to A.M.P. things up and include PE in MMA. All proceeds from this popular event will benefit our art, music, and PE classes by providing funds for our specialists to go above and beyond and create truly unique and enriching experiences outside of their regular curriculum.
How does Moving for Music and Art work?
Students collect pledges and report them on a sponsor form that will be sent home with them the week of April 20th. Sponsors can pledge an amount per lap or make a flat contribution. On the day of the run, students run laps on a designated ‘track’ on campus for 20 minutes, with parents and volunteers cheering them on. The number of laps they run are recorded by our parent volunteers, then the tally is sent home for students to collect their total pledge amount. Sponsor forms and pledged contributions are due following the event. Please return Sponsor forms and payment no later than June 5, 2026.

SPONSOR FORMS
Sponsor forms will be distributed to students the week of April 20, 2026. Use the form to gather pledges from friends and family members. Sponsors can pledge per lap or can donate a flat dollar amount. Please be sure your student(s) only asks for sponsorships from people they know. Students are not permitted to sponsor another student. Following the event, a letter will be sent home with your student(s) confirming the number of laps they completed.
PAYMENT INFO
PAY BY CASH OR CHECK
If the sponsor will be paying by cash or check, please be sure to mark the corresponding column on the pledge form. Sponsor form and collected pledges in the form of cash or check are due by Friday June 1, 2026. You can turn these into your teacher or any receptionist. Checks should be payable to International School of Portland with MMA indicated on the memo line. For more accurate gift receipting, please do not consolidate pledges and payments into one check.
PAY ONLINE
To use the online payment system to make a pledge, click the PAYMENT button below. Please be sure to have sponsors use the “Dedicate this gift” section to let us know which student(s) they are supporting. Students can also use the online portal to create their own fundraising page that they can share with sponsor by using the “I want to start a fundraiser” button on the payment page. Once you create your fundraising page, you can share the link with friends and family.
RUN SCHEDULE
Volunteer
Moving for Music and Art is almost entirely run by family volunteers! We will need volunteers to do everything from handing out snacks and water to marking laps and cheering for students. Click the VOLUNTEER button below to get involved!
