Auction and Party Volunteers

Thank you for being a Party With a Purpose volunteer!  On this page you will find resources to help you find the best way to get involved.

This year the 2025-2026 Party With a Purpose will once again consist of two parts:

  • An online Gift Givers’ Auction from December 8-December 17th for all your gift-giving needs
  • An in-person Party with live auction will be held January 31, 2026 at Avenue Portland

Together, these two activities make the Party With a Purpose ISP’s largest annual fundraising campaign; we raise over $300,000 that directly and immediately benefit our teachers and students!  The Party With a Purpose funds financial aid, educational technology, teaching tools, classroom equipment, teacher professional development, and so much more!

Our annual event’s success depends largely on the work of our amazing group of family volunteers.  Thank you for your time and commitment to the success of this event and our students!

Student Art Projects

Collaborative art projects by ISP students are the highlight of our annual auction!  The students take great pride in their work and are excited to share their projects with their families. These projects will be part of the December online Gift Givers’ Auction. Each class will identify a volunteer to help coordinate a collaborative art project with other classes across each grade level. Student Art Project Coordinator training will be held October 1st and October 8th via zoom in the evening! Final art is due December 5, 2025.

Class Packages & Baskets

Many classes pool resources to create a class package or basket to include in the silent or live auction. Packages often have a theme like sports or nights out in Portland and consist of items and/or experiences for fellow families to bid on. Packages help raise a significant amount of revenue for the school during our silent auction.

*** Note: We no longer take bottles of liquor to include in our baskets per OLCC laws. Beer, wine, and cider are fine, but must be in factory-sealed containers. Please work with the gala procurement team so that your basket can fall within the guidelines.  Please DO NOT drop off alcoholic beverages to teachers in classrooms; you may coordinate with Beth Katona or Fred Ratté for pickup or items can be dropped off at the Arthur Admin Building (122 SW Arthur).

Sponsorship

Auction sponsorship is a wonderful way to promote your business while also supporting a great cause!  We provide many opportunities for sponsor recognition before, during and after the Party.  Your investment as a sponsor lets the community know that you are a partner in educating bilingual, self-confident global citizens.  If your business is interested in sponsorship, please review the sponsorship benefits outlined in the document below.  For questions or more information, please contact Beth Katona at bethk@intlschool.org.
