Walk & Roll to School Month
ISP’s 2025 Walk + Roll to School Month Challenge Begins May 1st!
Join ISP for our 2nd Annual Walk + Roll to School Month Challenge as we work together as a school community to reach a special goal!
During the month of May, the ISP community will work COOPERATIVELY to travel virtually to the Harmony School in Saltillo, Mexico, where our fifth grade students in the Spanish Track attend school during Capstone Study Abroad. That's 2,274 miles / 3,660 kilometers from ISP's Campus in Portland, Oregon to the Harmony School Campus in Saltillo, Coah. Mexico!
All miles traveled WALKING, BIKING, CARPOOLING or taking TRANSIT to or from school in May will help ISP achieve its goal of reaching the Harmony School by June 1st.
All STUDENTS, FACULTY and STAFF are invited to participate!
Walking + rolling to or from ISP even one time will move us closer to our goal!
Walk & Roll with Owly to Saltillo!

May 23: Big week for Owly, who's now in New Mexico and closing in on Saltillo!
May 16: Owly's continuing along, now in Utah!
May 9: Owly made it to Boise, Idaho!
May 1: Owly's ready to ride!
Wednesday Bike Buses
There will be two separate bike buses every Wednesday morning during May, PLUS 1 afternoon bike bus to OMSI.
All ride paces will be ~7 MPH, so an elementary-aged pedal biker can comfortably participate.

Test a Cargo Bike!
Curious about Bike Commuting with your child to and from ISP but do not have a bike?
ISP's Green Team is partnering with local bike shop Splendid Cycles to offer e-cargo bike test rides this month during Afternoon Pickups!
Fun-for-the-whole family-bakfiets and compact cargo bike models are available to test ride.
Ride with an experienced ISP Bike Family to and from Afternoon Pickup and experience the school commute via a fun mode of transportation.
